Back at it again!

What a week!

This week has been a jam packed week for sure, being able to share on Sunday for both services, Monday night at Horizon Youth, and last night for the Wednesday night, Adult Bible Study! Sunday, I had the privilege to share about Paul and living as a follower of Christ. Monday, I had the privilege to share based on two questions that were asked me: "Why did God create the Earth?" and "Does God need people to be good?" Last night, I had the privilege to share about Noah and the importance of fulfilling our promises.

It has been such a privilege to be able to serve and I'm so thankful to be able to be used by Him. It's been such a journey and I've been wanting for some time to step back out into blogging and sharing different things that have been on my heart and mind.

I've blogged quite a bit in the past in various forms, whether in text or video entries, and decided that today is the day. I'm going to step out once again in blogging. Then the difficulty was in narrowing down just what I wanted to share!

There's been so much going on and so I thought that I would start off this journey and share some of the cool things that have been happening here at Living Hope Worship Center and specifically in Horizon Student Ministries. In narrowing down some of the many things that are going on, I remembered that Horizon has a Youtube account which we've been able to use to showcase some of the different things that have been going on and I figured why not share about four of the videos that we've put up over the last six months! They're fun and goofy and a great place to start back up with this blog!

The first two videos that I wanted to show were from this last's Monday's Youth Group. This coming Sunday, Feburary 2nd, is the Super Bowl and so we broke up into two groups and each group filmed a promo for which team they thought would win! The end results were pretty goofy, but really, really funny. The links are:

From there, I looked back and found two additional videos that I wanted to share from two events this summer. The first is from our trip to the National Fine Arts Festival, which was held in Orlando, Florida. We had three students that went down with us to Nationals, with three categories advancing to the National Level (Visual Art 3-D, Visual Art 2-D, and Children's Lesson Group). It was a great trip and we had an absolute blast! I'm already stoked as I see some of the things that Horizon students have planned for Fine Arts this year and encouraged to see so many taking another step outside of their comfort zone into even more categories that stretch them spiritually, artistically, and socially (just to list a few areas). This video was filmed and created by Stephanie Fusco, one of our students in Horizon.

I wanted to give Stephanie an additional shout out in this post because she recently wrote a book about being a strong Christian teen in our world today. It's really, really, really, really, great (you can totally tell because I put four really's there)!! The book is called "Dodging Bullets" and I would definitely encourage you to check it out! It's available on Amazon, whether you want to pick it up in Paperback or for your Kindle here: http://www.amazon.com/Dodging-Bullets-Strong-Christian-World/dp/1490806547

This last video is a highlight reel from our All-Nighter with Carney's Point. The Youth Pastor at First Assembly, Pastor Addison, is a personal friend from our time at Valley Forge Christian College, and our Youth Groups came together for what turned out to be one awesome night! Highlights included having the privilege of interacting with students and leaders from right in our backyard (many of which go to the same school as some of our students), our hilarious Music Video Contest, playing all sorts of sports and games, and the intense Midnight Glow Dodgeball tournament. Check it out with the link below:

Thanks for taking the time to read this blog post. I'm hoping to make it a point to write and share once a week just something that's been on my heart, maybe something I've read, or something that's encouraged me and spoken to my life. Please feel free to drop me a line, comment, or like the videos on Youtube! Praying blessings on you and yours! :)
