I took some time the other day going through old notes that I had written on Facebook and shared with others. I found some really interesting things, but what was more interesting to me was being able to go through and look at all the different notes that I was tagged in by others. Some of the notes were just silly and had no real depth or substance to them at all. Other notes that I found were really deep and meaningful to me and one of those brief notes I wanted to share here.
The specific note that I found was called "Bring it on!!!" and was written by my brother, Joseph Schultz, approximately three and a half years ago. I remember reading this brief note when it was first written and being blown away by the simplicity and yet challenging nature of this piece. It's very encouraging and it is my prayer that through reading this brief entry, that you will be not only encouraged today, but also reminded how important it is to persevere and to keep moving forward.
"So the saying goes, shoot for the stars, but what if I want to go farther than that? They say go for the gold, but what if I want platinum or diamonds? Even the galaxy, it seems, has boundaries. Well, that's doesn't work for me! No matter what your dreams or goals are, never stop chasing, even when you seem to get their, go further. There is always more to life, and if you settle and think "it is as good as it gets," I urge you, run more! For life gives you as much as you can take. So I say, bring on the Universe, bring on the diamonds, for nothing is gonna stop for from my goals! Bring it on!!!"
I look at the life of my "little brother" and see a prime example of an individual who has strived to make this a life goal. I look at all of his accomplishments and all the things that he has done and daily I am inspired to put forth a little more effort, to try a little bit harder, and to stretch myself a little bit more. I'm incredibly proud of my brother and thankful each and every day that the Lord has placed us together as siblings.
We are all capable of unthinkable feats. We are. Don't tell yourself any different.
We are all capable of doing great things; all we have to do is make it a priority to keep our goals in focus, and remember that not even the most restrictive boundaries should hold us back from stepping out of our comfort zone into bigger and greater places!
