Marvel Theatrical Features List (Updated 1/30)

I don't talk about it too much here on the blog, but one of my favorite things to do is to collect things. I love to collect movies, albums and records, old video games, and many other things. It was a lot easier to collect before I was married, however, my wife definitely puts up with some of my "fandom" and we  added two films last night to my collection of Marvel Comics theatrical releases.

In going through some boxes today that I haven't looked at since moving to our current location, I found a couple more of my Marvel Comics films that I had forgotten about, which gave me the idea to take some time today and write out a blog post with all of the Marvel Comics films that I own. I've been a huge Marvel fan for a long time now and have collected quite a few of the Marvel theatrical films released. For the most part, I would say it's been easy to collect these movies because Marvel has done a much better job with their films when it comes to drawing people into the story, especially compared to their main rival, DC Comics. I also collect the DC films, just not to the extent of the Marvel ones (Maybe I'll list the DC titles in another blog post sometime).

So without further ado, my current list of Marvel titles on DVD or Blu-Ray:

1986 - Howard the Duck
1990 - Captain America
2000 - X-Men
2002 - Spider-Man
2003 - Daredevil
2003 - X2: X-Men United
2003 - Hulk
2004 - Spider-Man 2
2004 - The Punisher
2005 - Elektra
2005 - Fantastic Four
2006 - X-Men: The Last Stand
2007 - Ghost Rider
2007 - Spider-Man 3
2007 - Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
2008 - Iron Man
2008 - The Incredible Hulk
2009 - X-Men Origins: Wolverine
2010 - Iron Man 2
2011 - Thor
2011 - X-Men: First Class
2011 - Captain America: The First Avenger
2012 - Marvel's The Avengers
2012 - The Amazing Spider-Man
2013 - Iron Man 3
2013 - The Wolverine
2013 - Thor: The Dark World
2014 - The Amazing Spider-Man 2
2014 - Guardians of the Galaxy
2014 - Captain America: The Winter Soldier

There are quite a few others that I do not have, some of them I have goals to collect (Howard the Duck, the original 1944 Captain America film, etc.), with others that I'm really not interested in (The Punisher films, Man-Thing, the Blade trilogy, etc.).

Are you a Marvel Comics fan? What is your favorite Marvel movie? I would love to hear what you have to say about Marvel, comic books, or collections in the comments section below! Also, feel free to drop me a line on Facebook/Twitter: @solidschultz! Have a great day and be blessed!
