Life Update

Life has been moving really fast! I've been going back through old posts on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites and can't believe how much time has really passed.

Thinking about it:

- It's been over 7 years since I graduated from Delaware Valley High School
- It's been over 3 years since I graduated from Valley Forge Christian College (now University)
- It's been almost 2 and a half years since Samantha and I were married
- It's been 2 years as Youth Pastor at Living Hope Worship Center

That's just to name a few. A lot has been happening in the Schultz household and so I figured I would take a second and update the world as to some of the things that have been going on! To keep this update brief, I will narrow my thoughts to four main updates.

1. Samantha is in her Master's Program! It seems like yesterday that she graduated from Valley Forge and I'm so thankful to announce once again that Samantha is in her first year in the School Counseling Master's Program at Eastern University. It's been a lot but she is doing very well, especially since she is still working full time as the High School English teacher at the Salem County Christian Academy! We are so thankful for this opportunity and I am so proud of her!

2. I have a new title at Living Hope! Many of you know that I have been serving at Living Hope as the Youth Pastor since September 2012 (I have worked at the church since June of 2012). Just a few weeks ago I was blessed to have my title and position change at the church from Youth Pastor to Assistant Pastor with the portfolio of Youth. This is confirmation in so many ways and I am so thankful to continue to serve here at the Church in so many different ways.

3. My Ordination Interview is coming up fast!!! On October 21st at 3:30PM, Samantha and I will be interviewed by a group from the New Jersey District Assemblies of God to conclude this process of Ordination. I was able to take and successfully pass the Ordination Exam and this is the last step before being officially brought in as an Ordained Minister. I definitely appreciate your prayers as I am incredibly nervous about this, but I am thankful for this opportunity and the opportunity that I am currently in as a Licensed Minister to serve the Lord.

4. New developments for Fine Arts! For the first time, we have started with our Horizon Students (facebook.com/horizonyouthgroup) Fall Small Groups to see students have more time to get involved and step out into different entries. Tuesday we began this new season with the goal of two brand new categories for our group and for our church. These categories (Short Film and Children's Literature) will not only be a fun way to come together as a group, but also an exciting way to see students share their faith in new and engaging ways.

I'm so thankful for all that God is doing and I'm continuing to put my faith and trust in Him first and foremost through it all! Thanks for taking the time and reading this update. Feel free to drop me a line (Facebook/Twitter: solidschultz) and have a great day!
